Damien & Claire’s
Family Affair Wedding
Sebastopol · Sonoma County
I almost always approach a backyard family affair wedding with a bit of trepidation. Okay, more than a little bit! There’s always so much that can go wrong, especially when family and friends are in charge of such important elements as florals, lighting, a grazing station, and the set up and break down and clean up. Add in the ever-changing variables of wind and weather and well, let’s just say I pray a lot.
Damien and Claire’s was absolutely gorgeous and the elements provided by the family — while I know were a tremendous amount of work — were executed flawlessly.

Damien’s mother actually grew all the flowers on their Sebastopol property and Claire did the floral design herself. Claire’s bridesmaids and both sides of the family met the day before to craft the centerpieces and bouquets.

Every bloom grown on the family’s Sebastopol property — floral design by the bride herself.
The lighting was amazing! It added a beautiful, romantic ambience to the evening.

And, of course, no wedding is complete without the fur baby as your ring bearer!

The whole family — Damien, Claire, and the best-dressed ring bearer in Sonoma County.
